2025 was a defining year for LIT’s emergence as a
recognized national advocate for opportunity in
public transportation.
IFR (Interim Final Rule) Advocacy & Public
Comment
LIT submitted formal public comment on
proposed IFR changes impacting workforce
development, minority advancement, and
contracting equity.
LIT emphasized:
The need to safeguard pathways for minorityowned small businesses
Ensuring federal rulemaking does not
inadvertently create new barriers
Highlighting industry workforce realities that
disproportionately impact Latino professionals
This advocacy strengthened LIT’s
standing as a credible policy
voice.
