TRANSIT REGULATIONS,
COMPLIANCE, AND HUMAN
FACTORS
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3, 10:30 AM - 11:30
AM - ENCHANTMENT EF, 2ND FLOOR
This session will provide participants with a better understanding of
the importance of meeting industry standards for federal compliance
requirements, including civil rights, accessibility, and service delivery
expectations for employees and transit users with disabilities.
Through an exploration of key policies and regulations, attendees will
be prompted to review their own agency’s practices and will learn
strategies to align organizations with current and evolving standards.
Special attention will be given to identifying common areas where
agencies often fall short of ADA requirements, offering actionable
insights into addressing these gaps. By reviewing regulations from
the perspective of human behaviors and factors, participants will
better understand how to enhance employment practices and transit
service delivery while maintaining compliance at the forefront of all
organizational functions.
