TRAINING: CONSIDERING
TITLE VI WHEN IMPLEMENTING
MICROTRANSIT
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3, 4 PM - 5 PM
- FIESTA ROOM, 2ND FLOOR
Microtransit has become increasingly popular as an
innovative solution to help transit agencies connect
more riders, especially in areas where traditional public
transportation may not be as effective or cost efficient.
However, understanding the consideration of Title VI
requirements in the context of microtransit can be
tricky. While Title VI fixed-route requirements may
exempt to microtransit services, it remains a valuable
tool for ensuring that these services are accessible to all
communities. During this session, we will discuss how
microtransit programs consider Title VI in its
implementation and fare structures.
