OVERVIEW
The 2026 Committee Workplan establishes a unified framework for
how Latinos In Transit (LIT) will execute its strategic priorities, deliver
high-quality programming, and maintain strong organizational
governance throughout the year. This Workplan outlines the
responsibilities, expectations, and operational structure for each
standing committee, ensuring that committee work directly aligns
with the 2026–2028 Strategic Plan and supports the mission of
empowering professionals across the transit industry.
LIT’s continued growth depends on the commitment of its board
members and volunteers to serve, lead, and collaborate effectively.
Committees are the operational engines of the organization, carrying
out the programs, initiatives, and responsibilities essential to
membership, workforce development, partnerships, and leadership
advancement. This Workplan formalizes how committees operate,
how committee leaders are appointed, and how all programming
must remain aligned with LIT’s 2026 goals.
