Program Track: New Careers in Transit
Project Title: How to Increase Riders' Safety Onboard
This project focuses on increasing rider’s safety while onboarding. The objectives include
improved visibility, technology, specialized staff, creating open spaces, and proposing different
transit models. Our expected outcomes are reduced accidents for riders, especially for people
with disabilities, women, and children, higher ridership percentage, increased rider satisfaction,
improved staff performance, smoother overall system performance, and community trust.
