SESSION 7 | JOB SHADOWING OR PROJECT
COLLABORATION
Session 7 Goal: Provide the participants with hands-on experience
and practical exposure through job shadowing or project
collaboration, enhancing their understanding of industry
operations and professional roles.
Activity: Facilitator arranges for participants to shadow them or another
professional for a day or involves them in a short-term project to gain handson experience.
Outcome: Participants gains practical exposure and a better understanding of
day-to-day operations in the industry.
Participant

shadowing or project opportunities.

Meet with facilitator.
Actively observe and participate
during the shadowing or project, taking
notes on key processes and insights.
Reflect on the experience, identifying
lessons learned and how they apply to
career development.
Submit a summary of the experience.

Review participant’s interests and
career form and identify a relevant job
shadowing opportunity or short-term
project that aligns with the
participant’s interests and goals.
Coordinate with colleagues or team

expectations before the shadowing or
project begins.
Check in with the participant during the
experience to ensure they are engaged
and learning effectively.
Debrief with the participant afterward
to discuss insights, answer questions,
and guide next steps for career growth.
